Here's how to play the song "Feeling Good" as played by Muse on their 2001 album Origin Of Symmetry. This song was written in the 1960s by English composers Anthony Newley and Leslie Bricusse for the musical 'The Roar of the Greasepaint – The Smell of the Crowd'. It has since been covered by countless artists, most notably Nina Simone, Michael Bublé, John Coltrane, George Michael, Eels, Joe Bonamassa, Sammy Davis Jr, and Avicii, among countless others. See videos of some of these classic versions further down this page!
For the tutorial below, we're focusing on just the MUSE version, which is in Drop D tuning, where the thickest E string (string 6) is tuned down a whole step to D, making the whole song playable with easy 1 finger power chords. (Yes, I go between using the 1st and 2nd finger in my demos, just because I find that more comfortable, maybe you will too!)
