About this lesson

"I've Got a Feeling" is a great example of the Beatles taking simple chords and making them sound way more interesting just through voicing. The progression is basically A major to D major, nothing exotic, but instead of the standard shapes, they add the root note on top of the A chord, which gives it this slightly unexpected sound your ear isn't used to hearing. Then the D voicing keeps that A note in there, so there's this common thread running through both chords. Small tweak, but it's the kind of detail that makes a progression feel alive. Try it out!
